Privacy Policy
Cradle is a mobile app developed by gtfrexo, a sole proprietorship owned by Gavin Rose ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information is involved when you use Cradle or visit this website, and how it is used.
- There are no accounts. We don't ask for or collect your name, email, contacts or precise location.
- Your guesses, stats and streak are stored only on your device.
- Card images load from Scryfall, a third-party card database.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects some device information to deliver them.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
Cradle saves your progress locally: today's guesses and clues, and your statistics (games played, wins, streaks and guess distribution). We do not receive this information. It is deleted if you clear the app's data or uninstall Cradle.
Card images (Scryfall)
Card art and card images are downloaded from Scryfall's servers while you play. Like any website or image host, Scryfall receives standard request information such as your IP address and device type when an image loads. See the Scryfall privacy policy. Card names and other card data are built into the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Cradle shows two kinds of ads, served by Google AdMob: rewarded ads, only when you choose to watch one to reveal a clue, and occasional full-screen ads between rounds in Practice mode. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device model and operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. Depending on your choices and your region, ads may be personalized.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in the app under How to play, Privacy options.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (on most Android devices: Settings, then Google, then Ads; or Settings, then Privacy, then Ads). Sharing results
When you tap Share, Cradle passes a spoiler-free text summary of your result to your device's share menu. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose an app to share it with.
This website
This website is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. It uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Like most web hosts, Firebase processes standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Children
Cradle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help address it.
Your choices and rights
Because we don't hold personal information about you, most requests can be handled on your device: clear Cradle's data or uninstall it to delete your local progress, and use your device's ad settings to control advertising. For data processed by Google, use the tools in your Google Account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete personal information; contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
